Can I walk in and rent equipment without first making a booking online?

Unfortunately, as our studio is based in Melbourne, in-store visits are not possible. Please contact us if you would like a demo over video call though!

How long is a rental day? Can I extend a hire?

Sometimes your plans change, and you need to keep gear longer than expected. If this happens, feel free to give us and we'd be more than happy to help!

How do I verify my ID? What is Digital iD™?

Once you create your Sharegear account, you will need to verify yourself through the Digital iD™ system before you can rent any equipment. Digital iD™ is a secure platform developed by Australia Post. When you use Digital iD™ with Sharegear, your personal information, including biometric data, is securely encrypted and stored, so you stay in control of your identity details. Your details can't be viewed or shared by anyone else – including us – keeping you safe from identity theft and misuse.

Do you deliver?

Yes! We deliver Australia-wide via TNT express. Contact us for delivery times. We also offer Click and Collect & Contactless Delivery for Melbourne customers.

Is the equipment in good condition?

Almost all of our equipment is bought new and sold after 2 years of rental use and before and after each rental we thoroughly check each item for any damage.
